"The Borussia monument stands in the midst of kind garden plants in front of the city hall. The monument symbolizes the reconstitution of Prussia after the wars of liberation 1813 to 1815. A medallion is at the pedestal with the reliefs of the royal couple. The place is environed by posts with the busts of the important statesmen of that time: Stein, Hardenberg, Schroetter, Schoen and the generals: Scharnhorst, Gneisenau, York and Dohna. The monument in its totality is a masterpiece of Peter Breuer, the well-known Berlin artist. At the unveiling on September 23rd, 1907 the Emperor Wilhelm II was present."
