| The vista from Sandkrug is surprisingly beautiful. On the left side the port up to the depression and the lighthouse, on the right the view across the lagoon, to the town, the villages Schmelz, Schäferei and others, and behind them the forest, the so-called "Lusze". Furthermore the eye of the viewer discovers a good piece of the lagoon and the Nehrung whose dunes are braced here everywhere. Backward the look across the tops of the spruces of the valleys and heights as far as the ocean. |

The old historical Sandkrug was eponymous to the spa village, its name to strangers perhaps sounds ominous. The old inn still exists in good condition on a hill visible from a long distance. The restaurant is opened constantly also in winter. | |||||||||||||||||
