In 1917 were two Kleinsiedlungsgesellschaften (societies for small-settlements) set up, supported by the "Kriegshilfsverein Baden"; one by the city which 10 hectares made available to this, the other one by the district, which had purchased 25 hectares of the more than 38 hectares of Prökuls' parish land. Small patches of land are planned for rural craftsmen and workers, and also for tenants or leaseholders.
