... even Memel's first steamer "Packet" owned by captain Thiedemann, ferried trippers to Tauerlauken on Sundays. The steamer from 1824 which didn't so properly earn this term was a sailing ship which was driven at calm with a paddlewheel. It sailed normally, unless just on Sundays, the route Königsberg via Labiau to Memel, needing 48 hours for that.
